BATTLE READY

Every New Year is a chance to reflect ... How is our life on track and where are we stumbling? We might make small adjustments and continue on our way, but what if the situation is more urgent than we realize? What if there is a battle raging around us and we are woefully unprepared? In Ephesians 6, the apostle Paul reminds the church that there is a spiritual battle raging all around them. He says in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces in the heavenly realms.” Because of this battle, Paul’s primary encouragement in Ephesians 6:11 is, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” In our New Year’s series, we are going to explore the battle we are all part of by studying Ephesians 6, and we are going to learn how to put on the armor of God so we are “Battle Ready” in our individual lives, in our families, and in the church.
